36 Days of Type is an annual open call that invites designers, illustrators, and graphic artists to express their particular interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet (A-Z, 0-9), then post each character’s design on Instagram every day for 36 consecutive days.
When my interest in type design was starting to grow, a friend of mine (who was aware of my creative journey) encouraged me to join the project. I joined the open call last 2017 and have been uploading my work yearly until 2020.

This project has proved to be an exercise in commitment and consistency. It has allowed me to experience drawing each character several times, and through this I’ve gotten a better understanding of their limits and potential.
